Summer Ensemble Workshop

Welcome to SingSoutheast! As an organization, we provide results-based instruction to help streamline the work of singers, voice teachers, and choral directors. This summer we’re launching a voice workshop for undergraduate singers, but instead of opera or art song, our specialty is choral/ensemble singing!

The workshop will take place June 16th-22nd, during which time each student will participate in multiple choral ensembles of varying sizes, receiving individualized vocal instruction within each setting. This method will allow students to refine their technical, expressive, and collaborative skills simultaneously.

Though most of the week will be spent singing, students will also learn from established guest lecturers and our faculty about entering and navigating a singing career, entrepreneurship, voice pedagogy, and other applicable topics. Please note that this program does not provide any instruction in conducting.

The 2025 Summer Ensemble Workshop is designed for current undergraduate students and/or those receiving their bachelor’s in 2025. Stay tuned for expanded offerings in 2026!

Applying for funding is a significant part of a classical musician’s career. Though we are priced lower than most workshops, we highly encourage each student to apply for funding to cover the cost of this workshop. Many colleges and universities offer funding for select summer internships or experiences, so we urge you to inquire with your school about this possibility. Those traveling from out of town are responsible for their own travel and accommodation.

If you have any questions or are interested in auditing, please email David Chariton at singsoutheast@gmail.com.
